What is the church service like?
From the moment you arrive, you'll be made to feel at home. Our greeters wear pre-printed name badges and are ready to answer any questions you may have. We especially want to invite to the time between the two services when we enjoy some refreshments and get to know one another. Our praise band plays upbeat, contemporary music, and you’re invited to sing along. Don’t worry if you don’t know the words, they will be projected on a screen in the front. At the end of the service, everyone is again invited to hang around and visit. If you would like to speak with the pastor, you are encouraged to do so. He loves to talk! What should I wear? Casual clothes are the norm at River Cross. Wear whatever is comfortable for you; jeans, shorts, dresses, etc. Will I be singled out as a visitor? You'll never be put on the spot - we want you to feel at home. You won't be asked to give money or anything else. We simply want you to be our guest. Will you send someone to visit me after the service? Only if you want us to send someone to visit you. Communication cards will be available for you to fill out with your contact information. We would love to send you a thank you card, or call you, but it's up to you. What do you have for the kids? We have set up an excellent childcare area where you kids will be able to learn a Bible story, work on a craft, and play at a wonderful playground. All of the people who help in that area must have strong references, so you can feel secure that your child is in good hands. |
